Summary:


The Human Resources Generalist originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.



Primary Responsibilities:


  • Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.

  • Responsible for the full recruiting cycle for various positions

  • Oversees the onboarding process for new employees including processing new hire paperwork, background checks, reference checks, etc.

  • Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.

  • Advises managers and supervisors regarding disciplinary actions. Counsels managers on employment issues.

  • Administer benefit plans including enrollment and terminations

  • Manage any worker's compensation issues and claims and supple the proper documentation for compliance

  • Responsible for various excel reports

  • Assist with government reports and compliance

  • Responsible for proper maintenance of HR files.

  • Responsible for planning employee events

  • Provides administrative HR support

  • Other duties as assigned



Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, or similar

  • 3-5 years of human resource experience

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Familiarity with COBRA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required

  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel

  • Well-developed presentation skills and superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

  • ADP WorkForce Now experience a plus
