Sales Account Manager - Dallas, TX


Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage chemical sales (both existing and new) to medium and large sized accounts (accounts up to $10MM), with total revenue responsibility estimated at $15 MM to $50 MM. This job requires up to 50% travel within the US and Canada.

Up to $115,000, plus up to 12% bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead New Business Development with the assigned customers

  • Responsible to attain required sales volume, revenue and profitability for assigned accounts

  • Execute and support business line strategies and objectives

  • Manage the relationship and negotiate contracts/NDAs with direct customers and distributors

  • Quote and negotiate pricing consistent with the guidelines established by the business line

  • Forecast and Accounts Receivable responsibility • Gathers information on clients (voice of the customer), potential markets and projects

  • Continuously monitor competitive activity

  • Seeks and fosters opportunities to help generate new business

  • Report customer meetings/activities via CRM



QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree – (prefer a technical background and/or understanding)

  • 7 to15 years’ experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing, marketing or sales environments

  • Experience with papermaking & tissue industry considered a plus

  • Experience with emulsion polymerization and adhesives considered a plus

  • Strong knowledge of chemistry, chemical reactions and processes

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

  • Demonstrated customer satisfaction orientation

  • Ability to travel 50%

  • Strategic thinking

  • Self-starter

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Extensive knowledge of office management procedures.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND SCHEDULE


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
